Milestones---Rolling over, Sitting and Crawling

Bhavya was good at rolling over and was trying to be an expert at that from four months onwards. Though he could roll over from back to tummy and tummy to back when he was about five months. He could reach out for toys and push himself forward when seeing something intersting. He was trying hard to fold his legs and move(crawling) but did not get the knack of it till now. By the end of seven months he could sit comfortably without support and had become more stable. His motor skills were developing faster than ever. Used to cry when me or Sandeep left the room. He sure was papa's son and was more fond of his papa. Now we were waiting for him to start crawling as this was suppose to come next. We all knew he wasn't too far from it and is just waiting to give us a pleasant surprise. And so it happened, he finally started to crawl on 16 June, the day he completed his eight months, and then he never looked back.

Teething Problems

After coming to the UK everything went well for about a month and Bhavya was well adjusted to the place and enjoyed playing with his jim and rattles. He had also started giving smiles, I am sure he recognised both of us well by then. But he started becoming cranky and restless thereafter. He used to be on my lap most of the times and on his papa's when he used to come back from work. This was a bit tough time though manageable. I had a feeling that its because of teething probably as he was drooling a lot and putting his fingers and everything that he could grab into his mouth. I was giving him cold carat to hold and chew and sometimes the cold teether also worked, though for short duration. These attempts were more of a temporary relief then a cure. Actually, there can't be any cure to this problem and he had to go through all this sooner or later, but, I would have wished it to happen a bit later, at least after a couple of months. I used to apply Bonjela and massage his gums to give him some relief.
Finally, a tooth erupted in his lower jaw and I was thrilled with joy. I immediately called up Sandeep at work and gave him the good news. All the pain Bhavya was going through had finally started paying off. He was hardly six months when this first tooth started to erupt though not too much visible. Now that the teething had started, he was not in so much pain or rather shall I say, had learnt to live with it.

Bhavya's Homecoming

Bhavya was born in India on 16 october 2004 . His papa came to see him in India on 24th october, its was not papa's fault, Bhavya couldn't wait for him and arrived 12 days early. Sandeep(Bhavya's papa) was there with us in India for three weeks upto 12 November and we celebrated diwali together. After which he returned back to UK. Bhavya's passport proccesing had already started and we were all set to come to UK in next two months.
Bhavya's mundan ceremony was done on 17 January 2007, when he had just completed three months. Me and Bhavya were flying to UK on 20th January to start a new life as a family.
We were received by Sandeep at the Heathrow Airport. Sandeep was speechless because of all the emotions, which was very natural to be, seeing his son after two months that passed like two years for us. After this emotional joining of the family we headed towards our home which is almost two hours from the airport.
I call it as Bhavya's homecoming because this is going to be Bhavya's home for atleast couple of years of the begining of his life.
